Biography

Timothy Williams is a multi-award-winning composer best known for his work on A24’s Pearl, Netflix’s Mary, and Sony’s Brightburn.

Recent releases include Locked, starring Bill Skarsgård and Anthony Hopkins, produced by Sam Raimi and directed by David Yarovesky; Eye for An Eye for Leyline Entertainment (Everything Everywhere All At Once), starring Golda Rosheuvel (Bridgerton), directed by Colin Tilley, which reached a global #1 on streaming; and the upcoming Mistura for Seine Pictures, directed by Ricardo De Montreuil, which recently won best picture at 25 major festivals.

Other recent releases include Your Monster, the Sundance Audience Award winner, directed by Caroline Lindy and starring Melissa Barrera; and Lionsgate's Bagman, starring Sam Claflin.

Williams’ other work includes Lionsgate/Roadside Attractions' Finding You; Wild Horses, directed by Robert Duvall; I.T., directed by John Moore; Red Sky, directed by Mario Van Peebles; The Swearing Jar; HBO’s Gringa; and television series Netflix’s Agent Elvis, AMC’s Creepshow, Disney’s Piney, and Fox’s Richard Lovely.

He has written additional music on Academy Award and Golden Globe winner Get Out; Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 1 and Vol. 2; Fast and Furious presents Hobbs and Shaw; Deadpool 2; 300; Watchmen; Super; Sucker Punch; The Spy Who Dumped Me; and television series Tracker, The Exorcist (S2), Missing, and Sym Bionic Titan.

Williams has received two Motion Picture SE Golden Reel Award nominations, four Thea Award wins, and 10 ASCAP Awards and won Best Score at the 24FPS Festival, Best Score at ScreamfestLA (2019), Best Score at the Raleigh Film Festival (2023), Best Soundtrack nomination at the HMMA Awards, Best UK Film Critics Horror Soundtrack (2023), and was nominated for Best Horror Soundtrack with the International Film Critics’ Awards (2023).
