Joe Wilson

Joe Wilson, best known as one half of the electronic duo Solomon Grey, has established himself as a distinctive composer for film and television. He has scored several major BBC dramas, including The Casual Vacancy, The Last Post, and both series of Back to Life.

Striking out independently following the band’s hiatus, Wilson continued to build a strong creative identity, composing the score for the second series of Back to Life as a solo composer. His work on the Oscar-shortlisted short film Good Boy, starring Ben Whishaw, further cemented his reputation for emotionally rich, atmospheric composition.

Recently, Joe composed the score for the hotly anticipated Channel 4 drama Maya, starring Bella Ramsey, and West the Road, the debut feature from Ita Fitzgerald for Bankside Films, both slated for release in late 2026.

In parallel, Joe has become an increasingly sought-after composer in the trailer world, with recent placements including The Dig, Asif Kapadia's Federer: Twelve Days, Outlander: Blood on Blood, A24's Undertone, and Widow's Bay for Apple TV.

Joe regularly collaborates with his wife, actress and writer Daisy Haggard. Together they create bold, tonally distinctive work across the television and film landscape.
