Biography

James Jacob (also known as Jakwob) is a producer, writer,multi-instrumentalist based in East London. Recent production, songwritingcredits and collaborations include, Little Simz, Riz Ahmed, Nia Archives, JorjaSmith, Shygirl, Joy Crookes, Glass Animals and Erin LeCount.

His screen work includes scoring Molly Manning Walker’s BAFTA-nominated feature How To Have Sex (Film4) in 2023, followed by her 2026 Channel 4 series Major Players (Channel 4). In 2025, he scored the BAFTA-nominated series What It Feels Like For A Girl (BBC3), directed by Brian Welsh, as well as the Amazon feature My Fault: London (Amazon), directed by Dani Girdwood and Charlotte Fassler. Jacob continued scoring the Amazon franchise in 2026 with both Your Fault: London (Amazon), also directed by Girdwood and Fassler, and Our Fault: London (Amazon), directed by Chanya Button.
