Biography

Gabriel Mann is a Tony & Emmy-nominated composer, singer-songwriter and producer.

Mann, alongside his band The Rescues, recently wrote the songs and score for the stage adaptation of The Lost Boys, directed by Tony Award winner Michael Arden, which premiered on Broadway in spring 2026 and was nominated for 12 Tony Awards — including Best Original Score and Best Orchestrations for The Rescues. Most recently, he scored Not Suitable For Work, written and produced by Mindy Kaling, and is currently scoring Darren Star/Netflix’s hit series Emily in Paris, starring Lily Collins.

Notable television and film credits include ABC’s award-winning hit comedy series Modern Family, starring Sofía Vergara; ABC/Hulu’s A Million Little Things, starring David Giuntoli; Disney+’s Better Nate Than Ever, starring Rueby Wood, High School Musical: The Musical: The Series, starring Joshua Bassett and Olivia Rodrigo, and Legend of the Three Caballeros; Showtime’s Uncoupled, starring Neil Patrick Harris; Cheryl Strayed/Hulu’s limited series Tiny Beautiful Things, starring Kathryn Hahn, which he co-scored with singer-songwriter Ingrid Michaelson; Netflix’s Choose Love, starring Laura Marano; SundanceTV’s critically acclaimed prison drama Rectify, starring Aden Young and Abigail Spencer, which was dubbed “remarkable” and “hypnotic” by Time magazine; Netflix/DreamWorks’ Dawn of The

Croods; and more. Mann’s voice can be heard throughout Fox/Disney/Netflix’s Arrested Development, as he was the resident songwriter for all five seasons of the cult comedy.

Video game credits include Vivendi Universal Games’ The Legend of Spyro: A New Beginning, The Legend of Spyro: The Eternal Light, The Legend of Spyro: Dawn of the Dragon and. TimeShift; and Sierra Entertainment’s Leisure Suit Larry.

Mann produced Sara Bareilles’ first album Careful Confessions, and opened for Alanis Morissette as a solo artist on tour through Europe. He supported the legendary Rolling Stones in England while touring with Tim Burgess of The Charlatans, sang on a Jack in the Box Superbowl ad in Spanish, and is a featured vocalist in Office Space and The Lorax. Mann backed up Adele on the 2013 Academy Awards, sang on a MUSE album, and played a Christmas vs. Hanukkah show with Katy Perry.

Mann is also quickly becoming known in the world of Jewish music as well, adding a modern spin to traditional texts and writing and performing with his daughter Piper Rose, Ben Platt and his brothers Henry and Jonah.
